Experience

• Alicia gained her LLB from Aston University in Birmingham. As part of her degree, she spent a year working as a Legal Standards Intern at Bosch Thermotechnology, which involved reviewing current and proposed English and European standards and law as it relates to product compliance.
• Alicia completed a Masters degree at the University of Birmingham, gaining a distinction grade. Her focus was on international commercial and trade law, including the way these areas cross over with environmental law. More specifically, Alicia studied Global Competition Law, Financing of International Trade, Commercial Conflict of Laws and Environmental Energy Law. Broadly speaking, her dissertation was an analysis of the UK decarbonisation strategy within the domestic heating and energy sector.
• During her masters degree, she volunteered at Support Through Court in Birmingham, which provides support to individuals navigating the court process without legal representation.
• Following her law degree and Masters degree, Alicia spent a year working as a paralegal in residential property conveyancing before making the switch to corporate and commercial law.
• Alicia qualified as a solicitor in November 2024.
