Senior Associate

Carole qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and is a senior associate in our Private Client team. Carole’s areas of expertise include Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work, Trusts and Estate Administration.

Carole is a full member of STEP and holds the STEP Advanced Certificate in advising vulnerable clients. She grew up in France and is bilingual in French and English.

Carole enjoys reading, gardening and country walks with her dog and family.

Landlord's dispensation for major works: getting it right

Many residential landlords will be familiar with the requirement to consult with tenants before major works are carried out. The landlord's right to seek dispensation from the Tribunal where it has failed to consult is perhaps less well understood. In a recent Upper Tribunal appeal, Hughes Paddison successfully challenged the First Tier Tribunal’s interpretation of the law. New Digital LPAs- A welcome reform or a minefield

The OPG registered a record 1,073,032 LPAs in 2022-2023. Concerns over the paper-based system led to reforms, culminating in the Powers of Attorney Act 2023 for a safer and simpler process.
